(To the best of our knowledge) we are the only company in the UK that specialises solely in the manufacture of top quality hardwood Memorial and Commemorative Benches, their delivery and installation. We have been providing a sensitive and top quality service since 1992 delivering benches over the whole of the UK and have also sent many benches abroad. Our business is not an add-on business to other activities and we do not sell on imported benches with a machine-carved inscription or with a plaque screwed on.
Our business is family owned and we take great pride in all aspects of our business. All members of staff are fully trained and experienced craftsmen/women.
All benches are designed to provide a handsome and durable tribute to the memory of someone special. The timber used for all benches is a high quality, strong, stable and durable hardwood (Iroko) which can be either left in its natural state or we can treat/stain. This timber has become one of the industry standards along with teak.
Three ranges of benches (the Oxford, Woodstock and Burford) are offered to suit different locations/requirements/budgets and in sizes from 1,2m to 2,4m and with 2 arm/leg designs and 2 back styles.
We are able to hand carve inscriptions into the bench using traditional hand tools - a hand carved inscription makes the bench much more special than just having a plaque fitted. An inscription is also a valuable security aid - it cannot be removed as can a plaque.
Simple motifs such as flowers, birds etc into the bench (please see the gallery) can be carved onto the bench, again using traditional hand tools.
All benches are made to a specification and not down to a price - this gives all benches a maximum service life. We only supply what we manufacture, we do not import or sell on other companies products. We can modify any design if required.
At present our order book is running at approx 12 - 14 weeks - sometimes able to fit in urgent orders - please enquire.
