Plaques
We manufacture all plaques ourselves and offer traditional solid brass, stainless steel or a very durable brass effect acrylic laminate that is UV stable.
All plaques are fitted into a machined recess and held in place with screws or stainless steel pins. Sometimes a combination of carved inscription and plaque is best, particularly if a long sentiment is required.
We select a size that best suits the amount of script required as well as the size and design of bench. All script is finished in black unless otherwise requested.
Please be aware that brass and bronze plaques will tarnish. The acrylic laminate has a life expectancy of 25 years minimum and will not tarnish. We secure this plaque using screws and epoxy resin.
If the plaque is carrying a sentiment or acknowledgement that is secondary to the main carved inscription, then this is often best placed centrally on the front lower rail. (this leaves the main inscription uncluttered).
Plaques are priced from £48 including machining the recess in the bench and fitment. We are also happy to fit a plaque supplied by yourself (charge of £20 if fitted into machined recess).
